I called to make an appointment, they said come in Wednesday. I ask when, they say they open at 8. I arrive a little after they open. I drop off my keys and go do some other things. 4 hours later, I check how it's going. They say they haven't even started it, but I'm next. Fine. I waste another 2 and a half hours and check again. They still haven't started it but they say they will now get someone on it. Funny they were able to get someone on it that exact moment. At this point, I've had enough and ask for my keys so I can leave and for them to move the vehicle blocking me in. The pushy sales guys ignore my request and tell me to sit down and they will start it. I have to complain to a third employee to actually get my car. Every other mechanic I've been to understands an appointment isn't a "drop off time". If you don't follow appointments, says so, and don't take them. The new mechanic I went to after this had a set time for my car to be worked on.

⚠️ WARNING: Avoid This Auto Shop in Albert Lea ⚠️ I am writing this to make sure no one else falls victim to the same predatory tactics and "diagnostic traps" I just experienced. Please protect your wallet and your vehicle by choosing a different mechanic. What Happened: The Bait: I brought my car in for a repair. They called and asked for my permission to run a diagnostic for approximately $130.00. I agreed, thinking that was a fair price. The "Bad News": After the inspection, they claimed the car was beyond repair. Their "solution" was to replace the engine with a used one (89,000 miles) for a staggering $11,000.00. The Trap: When I declined the $11,000 repair, they held my car hostage with two "options": Surrender the car: Let them scrap it, and they would pay me only $350.00. Get the car back: Pay a $950.00 diagnostic fee—nearly 8x the original quote. The Bottom Line: This shop is using "diagnostic fees" to effectively rob customers. They lure you in with a low quote and then hike the price up by hundreds of dollars if you don't agree to their expensive repairs. Advice for Albert Lea Residents: > Options for auto repair may be limited in our area, but please do your research. Ask for written estimates before dropping off your keys and avoid this shop at all costs. Don't let them cheat you like they cheated me.

Highly recommend Sanderson Auto Repair. Although they didnt do any repairs on my vehicle, they absolutely took care of me with short term storage needs after a highway breakdown. Being from out of state, it allowed me to get back on the road the next day. Thank you for the amazing customer service. Highly recommend.

Good guys, honest, and great sense of humor with no judgment if you did something wrong, have no clue how, & it was something “simple”. LOL. They also have free shuttle if needed. Thanks Team for clarifying the whole key fob situation and what NOT to do. LOL.

Very friendly people working there ..I had them rebuild my rear axle in my 2016 f150 and let me tell ya very professional and was straight forward about the issues they found with it shout out to Luke and Aaron and Brandon id recommend these guys to anyone 5 star for sure
